Attendee's Guide

Prepare Yourself!

Conventions are a unique and incredibly rewarding experience as they bring together all kinds of people to share their favorite interests, from movies to games to shows and video games!

For new comers to the convention world, it can be intimidating and somewhat scary to step into this new world. Those more experienced with conventions may also need a guiding hand to show them parts of conventions they did not know about until now!

Take Me to the Guide

Get the Camp-Out! Guide to be Fully Prepared!

Camping requires an extra bit of preparation in order to have as much fun as possible all while being safe in the outdoors. We've prepared a special guide for our attendees to ready themselves for the first Camp-Out! with KPAC ever!
If you love meeting new friends and don't want to go home after a day of fun, join us for the overnight campout in the sports center parking lot! We will offer some overnight gaming, shows, and other entertainment while you're staying with us. You can purchase a parking/camping pass online during your normal ticket purchase. This pass is for each unit of parking, not for each parking space. It's also not for each person staying.

EX: if you come with a truck and a tent, that is one camping pass. If you bring along a 10-person RV, that is still one camping pass. If a family of four is in a single tent, that is one camping pass.

While camping, be safe during your adventure and make sure you bring along everything that you think you'll need. There is no power or dumpsite at the sports complex, but other resources are nearby. Most commercial gas stations have dumping available.

We recommend two places for showers:
Wash and Dry, 121 Smith Way, Soldotna
Kenai Boys and Girls Club, 705 Frontage Rd B, Kenai

Fires are permitted on the parking lot as long as they are on an ELEVATED fire pit. These are effectively raised metal buckets. Be sure to bring along 3x as much firewood as expected if you do so, and practice fire safety!

The lot has been separated for campers from the Night Owls versus the Early Risers. The Early Riser people are expected to be quiet and respectful with those surrounding that area. The Night Owls are understood to be awake late night with activities, gaming, show-watching, etc.

The next morning, we will be packing up and be out of the parking lots by noon on Sunday (August 4th). Clean up all areas and dispose of any cooled fire ashes into the trash. As we drive out, enjoy breakfast at any of the local eateries and reminisce with friends on how the awesome campout was!
